I thought we were going to skip out on the rain today, but as I'm blogging, I can see a little bit of rain on the windows:) Guess, we will be making edible playdough this afternoon, something the big kids have been asking about for awhile, but I told them we needed to wait until we had a rainy afternoon or a no school day!
We read the story, Mrs. Wishy Washy and did the flannel board to go along with it as well as made our own animals, tin tub and Mrs. Wishy Washy. They all enjoyed swinging when we were outside this morning!

Wednesday....
Already Wednesday, sorry for not posting yesterday, I had a doctor apt in the afternoon so by the time I got back... it was snack and baby bottles:)
Our morning went by super fast, all of a sudden I looked at the clock and it was 10:30 already... so we didn't do any "craft" for circle time today. We did manage to do a few flannel board stories, their favorite is.... different color houses with a mouse that hides under the houses and they have to guess what color house he's hiding under.
The kids asked if we were going to do something at lunch, we will see what the afternoon looks like! They were so busy playing on the school bus/slide that I brought in the morning, cops, house, we also got out the grocery store... something I don't think we have had out for at least a year. We looked at all the box's of food and found familiar letters that we had in our name. We couldn't find one a B for Brianna.... then when we were done, we realized we had a box of Dilly Bars and some Uncle Ben's Rice, so we found 2 B's at the end! We also realized that Peyton and Levi are the only two that don't have an A in there name!
I apologize for the lack of pictures lately, apprently there is something wrong with my camera, so I need to replace it and my new one won't be here until the end of next week. I'm going thru camera with-drawl!
Breakfast: french toast, banana
Lunch: chicken, twice baked potatoes, stuffing, grapes
Snack: grapes, graham crackers

It's Monday! We kept super busy this morning, which always makes our day go much smoother and faster! We finished up our hens and did a worksheet on pigs. We also painted our feet brown for a robin. So.... if you notice brown paint on your child's foot, we probably missed some!

We also did a few flannel board stories and the kids helped me re-arrange this morning as well:)
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: hamburger/rice hot dish, applesauce, grapes
Snack: crackers

On Wednesday, we got out the Ford and Chevy truck... so these have been the toys to fight over! Not sure why, but I'm guessing that it's something new:) They've been busy racing them around and building things with the blocks then crashing them down:)
Have a great weekend!
Breakfast: donuts, banana
Lunch: corn dogs, ff, grapes

Thursday!
This week has zoomed right on by, it's already Thursday! Sorry for the not blogging yesterday! A snow day always means a busy afternoon:) We did manage to get the fish tank cleaned and the Easter decorations up... all thanks to my big helpers!
Today, we made a pig in mud. The kids thought it was a hoot to get to decide where the mud went on the pig. Some pigs are covered in mud while others have a little bit on them! We also painted our ducks, which we will finish tomorrow.
We enjoyed the beautiful weather! The kids just ran around in the snow this morning, almost like it was our first snow fall! It looks like by the end of next week we may have our 50's back!
Breakfast: french toast sticks, grapes
Lunch: ham, scalloped potatoes, peas, popover
Snack: bread sticks, spaghetti sauce

Rainy Day!
What a rainy day! The forecast doesn't sound much better for the rest of the week... COLD! Or at least 30 is going to feel cold, compared to the temperatures we've had lately!
We stayed inside all morning and I'm assuming the same for the afternoon. We did letter T today and made a turtle. We also did a few flannel board stories, I made a new one for the Very Hungry Caterpillar last night. So we have done that one a few times! They are getting to know which food comes next... smarties! I'll have to remember to take a picture if we do it tomorrow!
Breakfast: banana bread, grapes
Lunch: spaghetti hot dish, pears, banana
Snack: soft pretzels

It's Finally Spring!
It's finally spring! We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar today and talked about what animals/things that come back in the springtime. At circle time, we made butterflies with our hand prints and footprint, which we will hang them up on our bulletin board titled, Flutter Into Spring!
A few new flannel board stories arrived after lunch today, they were quick to pick up toys so we could check out the new stories. They are all geared towards spring-- The Mud Puddle, The Little White Duck, Eggbert the Egg and the Old Lady Who Swallowed A Chick.
While we were outside this morning, the kids noticed a robin. So then they were all looking for birds with red tummies!
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: round steak, potatoes, biscuits, pears
Snack: crackers

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The latest look of the leprechaun trap!
We've been a little busy yesterday and today, so I guess I will blog for both days! Yesterday, we finished up our seals for letter S and also made a shamrock caterpillar. Today, we made St. Patrick's Day hats, they loved putting on the foam stickers.
They've also been enjoying the beautiful weather we've been having. It is so nice to be able to spend some time outdoors instead of being cooped up inside all day! I think I'm loving it just as much as they are! It really is amazing to see how fast the snow is melting. Nap time, this week, we've had record times for falling asleep-- thank you fresh air! LOL!!!
The leprechaun has been busy playing tricks on us this week as well, yesterday, we had to go on a scavenger hunt to look for clues! Wonder what he will be up to today! I sure hope, we can find his hat so he will share his gold with us:)
Wednesday:
Breakfast: granola bars, apples
Lunch: grilled ham & cheese, tomato soup, grapes
Snack: cheese cubes, grapes
Thursday:
Breakfast: green pancakes, grapes
Lunch: tuna hotdish, peas, green applesauce
Snack: cookies

Letter S Day
Thanks to Aylah for bringing the letter jar back with things that start with the letter Ss... She did a great job and brought suckers for everyone! We learned the S song, I will admit this one even has me singing it... "For an S I make just a curvy little snake, For an S I make just a curvy little snake, And that /s/, /s/, /s/, snakey makes my knees a little shakey, For an S I make just a curvy little snake" We started on making a seal, however, the paint needs to dry so we will finish them tomorrow.
Yesterday afternoon, we filled spray bottles with liquid watercolor so they were all excited to go outside this morning to "paint" the snow... so we now have colored snow!
Breakfast: cereal, apples
Lunch: roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, crescent rolls
Snack: banana bread
