Thursday

Thursday already! Today, Addy napped this morning which allowed us to be busy busy! First, we made shoes for Pete the Cat and then we used foam stickers to put our names on pumpkins to hang up and last we made rakes to hang up as well! It was nice to get a few projects done before heading outside to let them run off some energy!

Wednesday...

Today, we learned about the letter Ee and made cute elephants. It was tricky coming up with a few Ee words:)

Otherwise, we enjoyed our time outside... they thought it would be cool to climb inside the center of the tile rolls, so we each had to take a turn!

Tuesday

We started our Pete The Cat week today! I feel like I've missed out not knowing that this book was out there. I think it's a wonderful book to teach the kiddos colors... so that's what we are going to focus on this week but it also has a neat point to the story- no matter what you step in, keep walking along and singing your song! Today, we started on making up our Pete the Cat book and we also made a Pete the Cat with red, brown, white and blue shoes.

Holmberg Orchard

Here's a few pictures from our visit to Holmberg Orchard this morning! Thank goodness it's nap time, I'm wiped out, I can't imagine how the kiddos feel:)

 

 

Fabulous Friday!

We put the Farmer's Marker away today and got out the hair stuff. They have had more fun playing with it, but we seem to have the problem that everyone wants to be the "cutter" and no one wants to have their hair done!

We also practiced our math with sorting and graphing apples.

I picked up quite a few books from the library last night!

We were BUSY BUSY BUSY today!

Started on our apple orchard shirts (I thought they were going to be orange for pumpkins-- but they turned red- so we will turn them into apples. Just need to put a worm on the back!)

Yesterday afternoon we used liquid watercolor- so today, we cut out these apple shapes for around them.

 

After lunch we also put circle stickers on a red paper plate for our September shape and color!

Wednesday...

It's Wednesday already! Glad we made it out to play this morning as it's terribly windy now! We made dinosaurs for the letter Dd today, practiced writing D's and then started on a pumpkin thing with our names.

Tuesday

Brooklyn had her 1 year check-up today, so Rosie was out to watch the kids this morning. Tomorrow, we have to get some circle time projects done!

New book shelf, need Mike to cut a couple more for the other wall.

Friday

Toady, the big kids didn't have school... so we enjoyed their company! We also celebrated Brooklyn's 1st birthday! One of her packages was some bubbles for the bath tub, the kids had more fun sticking them to the walls or stacking them on top of each other!

Thursday

We sorted gummy bears by colors and then made patterns with them. I'm surprised they lasted as long on the table as they did without being popped into their mouths!!!

 

We also finished up our apples from Tuesday, worked on our cutting skills by cutting a apple puzzle and practiced writing our names before going outside! I should mention, we were without water this morning, so if you hear about it! Yes, it's true!

Tuesday

Addy's first day of daycare picture from yesterday afternoon!

 

This morning, they kept busy playing with the coupe car and fire truck inside... who knew how much fun they would have with them indoors! Then, we were busy busy for circle time, we made an apple tree with our hand/arm print and then added green leaves and 2 apples to look at us along with the poem. Then we painted a paper plate red for something that we are going to do on Thursday and lastly they painted. Then we picked up and went out to play in the wind!

Happy Friday! Today, we cut out the number 2 and added various things of 2, then we practiced writing 2's. We had a great time outside this morning, played in the boat, with the kitchen and in the sand box.

This morning, we finished letter Bb and worked on writing our names... they are all improving SOOO much on writing their names... fun to see how fast they can pick up on it!

When we went outside, they discovered the boat now has the steering wheel.... we had to learn to wait our turn to drive!

Wednesday

Last week wasn't going fast enough and this week can slow down!!!

For part of Brooklyn's birthday present, Mike plans to finish the boat... for now, it's just the floor. Yesterday, no one played in it! Today, we put chairs in there and they had a blast.

We moved the kitchen up to the sidewalk and added some new food!

Letter B today!-- Just a funny thing-- we were talking about letter B words and guess what word they came up with..... BEER! I don't quite think we could add that one to our word wall, but yes, Beer starts with Bb!

Hope you all had a great long Labor Day weekend! It sounds like everyone had a fun time doing whatever they did-- zoo, fair, camping, birthday party!

Today, we colored scarecrows and then added our picture for the face. Then we practiced our cutting skills and cut out a various shapes for a scarecrow that I think we may hang up.
