Thursday

Thursday already! We finished up our boats this morning to hang up, Kylie had the idea and we went with it! Here's what they look like:

We also found baby rabbits this morning while on a walk. They talked me into letting them keep them in a box and feeding them... hopefully they survive until Friday!

 

-Wednesday-

Happy Wednesday! Today, we water painted ships to hang up. Also, got out all the Little People sets and have them scattered in the living room! Grandma was out to read stories and we enjoyed the rest of the morning outside.

Hope everyone had wonderful weekends, it sounds like most of the kids went fishing yesterday!

Today, we were kinda lazy:) A few of the kids colored this morning, otherwise we spent the morning learning thru play... The big kids put on a few different puppet shows for us. They are now busy setting up the resturant for after nap! Oh, the things they talk me into:-))) Their restaurant will feature 2 tables so they can have an option on where to sit, so they don't have to sit at the same table everytime they come!!!, or so I'm told!!!

Tin can robots, turned out super cute. I also saw another idea where you put magnet buttons on the nuts and bolts so they can re-arrange them as they wish.

They also had fun playing with nuts and bolts in the sensory table, sorry I forgot to snap a picture!

Friday

Happy Friday! Today, we talked a little bit about Memorial Day, but it's something that they don't understand very easily. We made flags and attached a poem with our handprint below... Very cute! They thought it was fun to paint over the tape and then remove the tape to see the red and white stripes! Magic!!!

So much fun playing outside this morning, we re-filled the water tables. They also played with the "store" at the end of the road, so they could have a drive up store:)

Thursday

A rainy day today! They were all going boating, so we used the air mattress as our pontoon! We also made robots out of different shapes, worked on our colors and played in shaving cream. I'm missing my camera, so sorry these aren't the best quality pictures!

Wednesday

Wow! Can't believe it's Wednesday already! The kids played so nice this morning, we didn't have time to do a project, which is ok too. It was fun to watch them all interact together and find everyone a person to be, one was the griller, a mom, the kids, the money taker, etc!

Rosie was out to read stories and we went out to play in the wind!

Tuesday

Another warm and windy day today! We spent some time this morning making robots from construction paper and the girls inspired us to re-arrange... so we now have a kitchen area with a door way! Brooklyn was their baby today when they were playing...

Lunch: spaghetti hotdish, strawberries, corn
Snack: yogurt, crackers

-Monday-

We started our theme on robots today, Kylie thought it would be fun to play Robot Says, we also built robots with tin cans, nuts and bolts. I think they turned out very cute! We had fun outside this morning, first a few games of tag tails and then we all played t-ball. I think we need some more practice with running the bases!

Friday

Happy Friday everyone! What another windy day we have today! Today, we did manage to get outside and throw a few water balloons around and run off a little energy! We also read the book, The Very Busy Spider and colored spiders. The big girls have been busy teaching the little girls a dance, I will have to post a video once they are done with "dance class"!!

-Thursday-

We had an inside day today! Too windy to go out and play, I think Mike said gusts up to 46 mph, even just looking outside, we slowly watched our toys blow and you could see the dust blowing around outside :(

We kept busy playing play dough, painting, playing, worked on patterning with some fruit manipulative's.

Wednesday

Building tents was the thing to do this morning! I think we must have had at least 3 different tents set up to keep everyone happy! Grandma was out to read stories and then we headed out to play. We will start a project after nap today, so it can hopefully be dry to finish it tomorrow!

Tuesday!

Today, we read the book, The Greedy Python, who eats all different animals and then is so long, he eats his rear and doesn't know it! The kids thought it was a funny book. We then each painted our own pythons, some had huge belly's! Then, we used glitter paint to paint some dragonflies to hang up.

Monday, May 14th

This week will be our first official week of summer vacation! The big girls have been so helpful today:) They are excited to start their checkbooks where they can earn money but also can have to pay me some money! Of course, they can use their money to purchase things from my store. I'm hoping this will work well for their math for the summer:) Today, we used our handprints to make the Very Hungry Caterpillar and we enjoyed plenty of time outside, see all the pictures below!

I hope each of you have a very special Mother's Day! We completed our Mother's Day things today, hope you like them!
The school girls thought we should set up a hair salon today, so we got out the office stuff and hair stuff. Wonderful to watch their imaginations come to life! The office people were setting up appointments:) Today, is the last day for Greta & Brynea, we have enjoyed having them!

"Bangin' Station" in the process of being built! I have a few more ideas in my head of things we can add to it! Finally accomplishing some of my pinterest ideas:)

Today, we painted with our new glitter paint, ohh... girls and glitter! They thought it was "soooo cool"! Hoping we can turn our creations into tulips!

It looks like we need to give our "people" some hair cuts! Today, we painted a few different things for our project, April showers brings May flowers. We were able to put them together after lunch, lets hope they can dry this afternoon!

-Tuesday-

As they were coloring, someone said, "Hey guys, this could be our homework!"

Oh no, someone figured out how to crawl onto people!

Today, we worked on our Mother's Day cards, some of them put a lot of work into theirs! Every time we tried to go outside, it would start to rain... so we brought the bird feeders and the seed inside to fill them up. The kids are anxiously waiting to see the "yellow" birds!

It's Monday, I'm assuming everyone must have had busy weekends, as we had some tired out kiddos today! We have a couple new friends to join us for this week, Greta & Bryna.

We worked on our Mother's Day gifts this morning, I think they actually are coming along!

Happy Friday, the week seemed to buzz right on by! Today, we worked on patterning and sequencing with flower petals. We also got out a few of the little people sets, they were having so much fun playing with those. We enjoyed our time outside this morning, they found some corn from the squirrel feeder on the ground, so they were "cooking" it!

Thursday

Today, they all had to dress up, it's amazing the concoctions they come up with to wear! They were so antsy to get outside this morning, of course, because they wanted to play in the potion lab! So, we did go out early which means we got lots of time in outside today! We had applesauce at lunch, so to carry over with them mixing colors from outside, I used food coloring and put a few drops on their applesauce and told them to mix it up and see what color they got.... Oh, you would have thought they won the lottery! They did figure out that red and green don't make a pretty color:) After lunch, they helped me make an apple cake for snack, if they seem to like it, I'll post the recipe tomorrow!

-Wednesday-

We got out the potion lab this morning, they had so much fun mixing different colors together and not to mention filling over filling the funnel and watching the water come out!

We found worms otuside, ohhhhh.. the boys figured out that if they would show the girls they would SCREAM! They decided to haul all the worms to the "animal center"

Tuesday, May 1st

Tuesday!! This morning we finished up our flowers from yesterday, I will post a picture tomorrow once they are dry, we will hang them up. We also planted grass into little cups that we drew faces onto, so we will grow some "hair" for our people! I have a feeling some of our people may have very thick hair:-))

The big hit outside this morning, was the mailbox Mike put by the playhouse last night... Never knew it would be such a hit:) Hopefully we don't blow away this afternoon!
