~ Happy Friday ~

Happy Friday! We made dinosaurs with eggs today, the littler ones insisted on cutting, so they don't have a project to take home:) But, they did manage to get in some good cutting practice!

We headed outside and thanks to Jessi, we got to have colored hair! They thought it was so funny and absolutely loved every minute of it!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

~Thursday~

WoW! It's Thursday already! We went a little out of Nicci's comfort zone this morning and did some paper mache! We started to make our dinosaur eggs! Hopefully they will dry tonight so we can paint them tomorrow and let them dry good over the weekend. Not sure what the kids thought of it, but I know that they didn't like the sticky feeling on their hands:)

We set the pool/water slide up this morning so we will do that after nap today!

Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: roast beef, mashed potatoes, peas, stuffing
Snack: apples

~Wednesday~

Last night, I spent a good few hours cleaning out the play room and throwing stuff, probably part of my "nester list" as Mike calls it! A few of our totes in the closet got combined which made for extra space, see the picture below. This morning, I asked what they were doing as they were taking turns standing in the closet, scrubbing their hair, the response I got, "We're taking a shower!" I almost died from laughing! They have quite the imaginations:) A little while later they had the doll blankets out for their towels!

We made dinosaur skeletons with different kinds of noodles and also colored pictures the Bookmobile left yesterday. Grandma came and read stories then we headed out to play!

Breakfast: peanut butter toast with chocolate chips, banana
Lunch: pizza hotdish, peaches
Snack: yogurt, rice cakes

~Tuesday~

This morning we drew dinosaurs in between our play time. We had a beautiful morning outside! Here, I thought it was going to be humid and it was gorgeous:) We played with the parachute outside this morning and did a few different games, something fun and different!

Breakfast: pancakes, pears
Lunch: spaghetti, meatballs, apples, garlic toast
Snack: buns

Happy Monday!

We made dinosaur feet today out of our shoe prints and also practiced our cutting skills! Otherwise the kids kept busy with a few new toys I picked up over the weekend. I forgot to mention last week that we got our ladybugs in the mail, so we've been watching them... they are currently in the pulpa stage, they look like yucky buygs right now!

~Thursday~

We played a few games of memory this morning as well as played with dinosaurs! Roar:))) The kids all seem to be feeling much better, nice to have the humidity gone! We also sponge painted dinos and hopefully they dry quickly so we can get them cut out! We spent a great deal of time outside this morning, it was so nice!

Tomorrow we will head to the Tracy Pool! We will probably leave around 12:30, swim from 1-3, have DQ for a treat then be back around 4 or so.

Breakfast: granola bars, grapes on the deck:)
Lunch: chicken fries, tator tots, peaches

~Wednesday~

I just realized that my post from yesterday never posted! I'll post the pictures below from yesterday.

I had a DR. appt this morning so Grandma was here and read stories when I got back. We did go outside for a little bit this morning. Denise, from Providers Choice was here to observe lunch today.

Breakfast: banana bread, peaches
Lunch: old fashioned hotdish, bread, frozen peas, grapes
Snack: pop tarts

~Monday~

We are switching our routine around this week! We headed outside to play right away this morning, we made a "potion lab", they had more fun dumping, pouring, mixing and seeing what concoction they could make up. We also did spray bottles when we were outside. When we came back in we dug out all the musical instruments-- we had some very loud music being played:) This afternoon, we will do our circle time activities and begin our new theme of dinosaurs.

Breakfast: cinnamon rolls, peaches
Lunch: tacos, apples
Snack: crackers

~Friday~

Happy Friday! We spent a good chunk of our morning re-arranging and cleaning out the playroom, how does so much stuff get accumulated? They were so cute to help, "I have big muscles Nicci"! Kendra also came back and visited us this morning, we celebrated her birthday while she was here! The last few days they have been into doing puzzles like crazy!

We made Popsicles with our footprint for circle time then went outside. The sky was starting to turn dark blue when we were out and they were all trying to guess who's house was getting rain at:) Needless to say, the rain was at Nicci's house at nap time:) What a good day for a nap!!!

The girls' lego hotel they have been building all week

Wild About Reading at the city park was canceled this morning but we made the best of our day anyway! We tried out a few new flannel board stories, they loved the one where their picture hides behind the door. Then we say, 1,2,3,4, Who's that knocking at the door?

We also made giraffes with rectangles and headed outside to play before the heat and humidity hit us for the next week:(

~Tuesday~

It started out a rainy day today but ended up to be pretty nice by the time we went out to play this morning. We made handrpint giraffes and footprint lions this morning. The kids played so nice I almsot hated to interupt them:) The girls were busy playing legos and had houses made for each of their people and the boys played farm.

Lunch: pancakes, sausages, hashbrowns, grapes
Snack: bunny crackers

~Monday~

Airplane ride anyone?!?!?!? This morning we made animals with clothespin legs and we enjoyed playing with DJ & Shelly. It was nice to have them come back and visit us.

Lunch: tator tot hotdish, watermelon, bread
Snack: crackers

~Fair Day~

Here is the picture of our elephant masks from yesterday! We had a fun morning at the fair:) It was definately a hot one at that! The kids did awesome... I asked them at 11:00 if they were ready to get something to eat and they all agreed they were ready to go! While we were at the fair, we had barn tours, watched Dock Dogs and a magic show. We skipped out on the Duck Races and headed to McDonald's for lunch!

Needless to say, we have some very worn out kiddos this afternoon:)

~Thursday~

Happy Thursday! Today, we made elephants with long noses! I will have to get the noses glued on at nap time. Then hopefully we can get a picture of everyone with their elephant masks!

We found a snake outside this morning, they spent a good chunk of time trying to keep it in the boat of the playhouse. Those that wern't scared of it were on the ground, while the rest of them were running crazy on the top of the playhouse!

~Wednesday~

We had a busy morning! We made a tree with monkeys for the Five Little Monkey's song, it was a bit of a lengthily process but we accomplished it!

Grandma came and read stories then we headed outside to enjoy the day!

Lunch: tuna hotdish, garlic toast, oranges, pineapple

~Tuesday~

Happy Tuesday! After all the clean up this past weekend, I'm glad it's a short week:) The girls found small pieces of shingles in the grass today and were "cooking" with them! Pretty creative!!!

Today, we start our zoo theme, they were busy playing zoo keeper amongst legos and other things. We created zoo scenes with zoo stickers. Some of them got pretty creative!

Breakfast: cereal, apple
Lunch: pizza sandwiches, banana, grapes
Snack: clementines

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday today, another hot day! When we went out about 9:30, it was already 88*! We had lots of time in the water this morning, even Levi & I enjoyed cooling off:) The girls have been asking for their nails to be painted, red, white & blue-- so that may be our afternoon project instead of heading out to the nasty heat!!!

Provider's Choice, my food program has recommended that we start to make more homemade items such as chicken nuggets/strips, etc... and to try to get away from all the processed foods. Today,  for lunch I took chicken breast strips and dipped them in egg/milk then rolled them in crushed up potato chips and baked them. They absolutely went wild for them:)
