Tuesday, August 31st

We learned the letter B today! Garrett brought the letter jar back with things I wouldn't have even thought of for the letter B; battery, billfold, ball, book, block, bear. Thanks for sharing those Garrett! We also made butterflies out of a folded B, glued buttons onto a B and colored the letter B.

Monday, August 30th

August has almost come to an end! For some reason, it has seemed like a long month!! Today, we painted our apples red and we will finish them tomorrow, we also reviewed the letter A. We had some visitors this morning, Kendra & Riley came to visit with their mom, JoAnn for about an hour or so. Kendra will be joining our daycare starting next week thru November.

Breakfast: cereal, grapes

Lunch: chicken alfredo, broccoli, banana, garlic bread

Snack: string cheese & crackers

We took a walk around the barn this morning and fed the horses some hay. They sure loved us!

Fantastic Friday!

It sure worked good to sing our A song while working on writing our letter Aa's., "a mountain with a stick across the top" and "a circle with a stick right down"! We had some fantastic looking A's today and I'm sure they will continue to keep improving!

We kinda had a lazy day today (I told Garrett we would have to make up for it tomorrow!) since I had to run to the Dr for lab this morning so the kids colored with Mike while I was gone. When I returned, we played outside until Brianna got off the bus from her first day of preschool!

Lunch: tuna hotdish, pears, peas, garlic bread
Snack: goldfish crackers

Wednesday, August 25

The kids worked on lacing cards this morning while Alexis had her bottle. We glittered our name (worked on name recognition) then finished up circle time by playing with playdough! Oh and I can't forget singing the letter A song, the kids were so bummed that we didn't do it before I had them put their shoes on so we had to do it after we had our shoes on to go out! Whatever makes them happy!

Letter A Day, August 24th

Today we learned about letter Aa. We tried out our new DVD's from Heidi Songs. We stamped the letter A on an alligator. Aylah brought home our letter jar and filled it with lots of things that start with the letter A... Thanks Aylah! Here is how the song goes that we learned today:

Monday, August 23rd

School has started... Yippee! We had a great summer with the school kids, but it is so nice to get back into our little routine with the little kids! I'm lovin' it and I hope they are too!
On Monday, we read "The Kissing Hand". Here you will see the kids painting black (night time) on their paper so we can add Chester the raccoon to it. We also made Chicka Chicka trees with our handprints.

Lunch- ham, cheesy potatoes, grapes, bread
Snack- monster cookies

Week in Review!

Amber celebrated her 6th Birthday on Tuesday! It's so hard to believe that she is 6 already:-( (It makes me feel old!) She was just a baby when I started daycare with my mom, so I guess that she is really like my own baby growing up!

Airplane!

Kylie and Morgan asked if they could use this box I received a package in... Along with some art supplies, they turned this box into an airplane. It took them all afternoon to put the finishing touches on it, complete with a block landing pad!

A Hot and Sticky Week!

It's been a hot and sticky week! The kids enjoyed the sprinkler and water slide most of the week... Here are a few pictures:
