Tuesday, April 30th

It's the last day of April today! On to a new month! Let's hope it's a sunny/warm one!

Today, we painted the start of our butterflies, we will finish them on Thursday! Grandma was out to read stories and we headed out to play!

Thursday!

What a gorgeous day outside! I can't wait to get back outside after nap time today:) The sun shine sure puts everyone in a great mood! We made caterpillars this morning, of course, our caterpillars had to eat  the leaf just like the Very Hungry Caterpillar! We sure used some great fine motor skills trying to punch the paper:)

Then, it was OUTSIDE time for the rest of the morning:

Our project today.... and the Very Hungry Caterpillar becomes.... A very beautiful butterfly!

I was sick of this weather, so we switched to bugs this week! Something a little more cheery:) Hopefully our caterpillars arrive this week, so we can watch them grow into butterflies. 

Snow Day Friday!

Who would think we would have all these snow days in April?! Not me... oh well! School will soon be out anyway! It was too windy and cold to go out this morning, so we had a Connect 4 Tourney, even Brookie & Levi were in on it, and to be honest, they actually did pretty darn well and even won a few matches not really knowing what was going on! Our winner was Jocelyn, the big girls have been busy playing it off and on the rest of the day...

Wednesday!

It's Wednesday, not quite as nice as yesterday, but it's not raining or snowing yet!  We had our tea party this morning that we had to use our manners, please & thank you, etc... Then Grandma was out to read stories and we went out to play for a little bit.

For something fun, we had lunch at the "counter" as the kids call it:

Tuesday...

Today, we had a scavenger hunt, while, I had originally planned to have it be outside! We had to change plans and have it be indoors, so we turned it into a color scavenger hunt, each child got strips of each color, some of them took the colors with them while they went looking for their items, while others knew just what color they needed to find! We will have to play this again, it was great for the little kids!

Of course, we had to enjoy the wonderful weather this morning, sandbox covered in snow... they all had a blast!
