These 2 just love this book, with all the different truck noises! We call it the "broom, broom" book!

Today, we made a Uncle Sam and then the kids had a blast kicking the large bouncy balls back and fourth, looks like I can add a few more of those to my list:)

Thursday

We started on our 4th of July t-shirts today, after I looked at the calendar and realized that the week of the Fourth, we only had 2 days until the holiday and the paint said it takes 72 hours to dry... we better get a start on them! So, your children may need baths today to get their fingernails clean as we used their handprints to make the blue hearts! Think these may have to be our annual thing!

They had a blast playing outside today, obviously we haven't been out for long amounts of time with the heat the past few days, so they enjoyed their freedom outside!

Tuesday

The storm must have kept some of them up last night! They were quite tired today! Anyways, we made the best of our day. Rosie was out to read stories and we headed outside early to avoid the extreme hot temps.

We have a small bunch today, must be the calm before the storm, with everyone back tomorrow:) We played outside in the water this morning for a little bit, but the sun didn't warm the water up too much, so it was freezing! I'm sure this afternoon will be totally different:)

Brooklyn had her well child check up today, so Rosie was here with the kids while I was gone.

Today, we finished our Father's Day presents up so we can send them home tomorrow:) Last night I picked up a few things for our Jr. Cake Boss theme next month, of course, they spotted them so we had to try them out... I sure wish they had toys like this when I was a child!

Wednesday

A few pictures from yesterday's relay games:

Today, they kept busy with tents up of all kinds, I think we had up as many as 5 tents. We also used liquid watercolor to paint our surf boards. We made it outside in between rain showers!

We started with cocoa mulch in the sensory table and decided it would be best to have it outside....

So, now we have a sensory table outside!

We found a bird's nest on our walk with an egg that was cracked, they all had to check out the inside of the egg!

Tuesday

They all loved to play fishing today, we had the tackle box, fishing pole, play worms and they went nuts over it! Fun to watch their imaginations at work!

We also painted with sidewalk paint outside and then did a few various relay games outside. I'll post those pictures tomorrow:)

Happy Monday! We will start our camping theme this week and set up the tent and have a few camping chairs and our pretend fire. We stamped today before heading outside.

Today was pirate day, we dressed up as pirates then walked the plank

and dug for treasure!

Today, we took advantage of the rainy day and the 4 big kids went with me to Marshall to run a few errands while the 4 younger ones stayed with Mike. By the way the play room looked when we returned, I'm assuming they must have had fun:)

Today, we finished the faces on our pirates from yesterday and also made parrots which was a little involving! Rosie was out to read stories to the kiddos and we enjoyed our time outside!

Tuesday

Another gorgeous day! I asked them the question today, Why do pirates wear an eye patch? Even I learned something! The answer was... they had to work quickly between decks and wearing an eye patch helped keep one eye adjusted to the dark at all times. When they went below dock,where it was dark, they moved the patch to the other side so they could see.

Today, we made pirates with our handprints. Brooklyn has a doctor appt this afternoon at 1:30, so Rosie will stay with the kids while I'm gone.

Sorry about no post from Friday, the time got away from me! I do have a few pictures to share from Friday:

We made our own pizzas for lunch! It was such a hit, definitely will have to do that again!

Alexis thinks she's having a baby too! It will be funny to see what she says after Mommy's baby comes out....

Today, we started our theme on Pirates! I love this theme:) We made some cute pirates and headed outside to play. They had fun "painting" and playing in the water this morning. May have to get out the swim suits this afternoon!
