We made firecracker goop today! It was 1 box of baking soda, 1 box of corn starch, water to consistency you would like and pop rocks. I think next time we could make it without the baking soda more like ooblick with the pop rocks.

Wednesday

We made flag magnets this morning! They turned out pretty cute, considering I wasn't sure how we would do them! 

We also had fun outside, watching all the trucks drive by.... and with cutting grass! That's been the thing they all want to do outside lately is cut the grass and make soup or whatever with it, so it's kept them busy! I think this afternoon will have to be a water afternoon... it's another cooker out there today!

Monday, June 24th

Sensory table has red, white and blue cutting supplies! 

Our flags we made this morning, the babies used their feet and the big kids used their hands, although, they need to add their stars yet! But, it's a project we do every year!

We enjoyed playing outside this morning... going for a walk and listening to the thunder for a little bit, they were all afraid we were going to get wet, but we didn't get any rain!

Happy Birthday Addy!

Addy birthday is today... Happy 1st Birthday Miss Addy:)

We did manage to get our 4th of July shirts painted today, so they would have plenty of time to dry so we can send them home next week!

We took everything out of the toy room today and started fresh.... I can't wait to finish it after nap! It's amazing how different and how much they actually play when it's all "new"!

Ice Cream Shop!

Here's most of what we did during our Ice Cream Shop week last week...

 Ice cream cones... we used 1/2 shaving cream 1/2 glue and then added sprinkles to the top

We froze regular yogurt into the cones... they loved them!

Ice cream playdough... was super messy! but, they had a blast playing with it. The recipe was 1 box of cornstarch, 1 bottle of conditioner and kool-aid to flavor it.

I had a bunch more activities I wanted to do, but, we never got around to it! It's summer! A couple days, they were all playing so nice in the morning, I didn't want to interrupt them, so I didn't! But, we did end with an ice cream party on Friday afternoon... NUMMY!
