SNOW DAY! They were all so excited they didn't have school today, so they got to spend the entire day at daycare.... gottta love my schoolagers:)

Today, we did 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and made fish out of our handprints.  They helped me make our fish bowls for snack (blue jello/ gummy fish) and we got out side to enjoy the snow before it melts! I see 50* is in the forecast for next week..

Breakfast: muffin, grapes
Lunch: chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, bread
Snack: fish bowls & goldfish crackers

-Tuesday-

Today, we did The Foot Book, and drew feet onto a person, most were spotted feet and some had no feet. Then we painted our feet silly for our foot book that we are making. We had everything from mermaids, aliens, spotted, zig zag, giraffe, bumble bee, crazy feet. So, if you notice some paint on their feet, you will know what it's from!

We did get outside for a bit this morning, it was chilly with the wind, but we were able to run off a little energy before the rain started.

Happy Monday!

They must have missed each other, they played so nice this morning!

We started our week on Dr. Seuss... We have ooblick (cornstarch + water) in the sensory table. They can't seem to figure out how it can be a solid when you pick it up, but then turns to a liquid. we also made "wockets in a pocket" today.

Playing legos with the new lego airplane... fun, fun!

Breakfast: cereal, apple

Lunch: lasagna, grapes

Snack: cinnamon roll

Happy Friday! We actually have a little snow for them to play in, they were sooooo excited to go outside today, "look at my tracks", "it's slippery to slide down the slide"!

We put water and babies in the sensory table today to give the babies a bath

We made peanut butter bars after lunch for snack today, even Mr. Levi had to help!

Breakfast:scrambled eggs, toast, banana

Lunch: grilled ham & cheese, peas, peaches, apple

Snack: peanut butter bars

Where is all the snow at that they forecasted yesterday? I think I'm just as bummed out as the kids are! Today, we learned about the letter R and made the R into clouds with rain and we also started on our Thing 1 and Thing 2's to hang up.

Lunch: stuffed shells, oranges, pears
Snack: cereal

Tomorrow is Pajama Day!

We celebrated Mardi Gras today and made some masks from our handprints and each got a few sets of beads!

Lunch: tuna todish, garlic bread, peas, peaches
Snack: cinnamon breadsticks

--Tuesday--

Today, we talked about the tooth fairy and even made a tooth fairy. I think the tooth fairy will visit at nap time today!

I'm starting to make some "busy bags" but haven't found the right bag that I want to store them in yet, anyway, just various activities. Their favorite today was to move pom poms with a tweezer, great for fine motor skills!

--Monday--

We turned our weather into a lesson today! We talked about rain, sleet and snow and how it has to be warm to rain and cold to snow! I let them each stick their hands outside to feel how hard the sleet was...

We continued talking about teeth, otherwise we worked on puzzles and picture sequencing today. They were wild and crazy after lunch... so we did a few songs to get some wiggles out!

Lunch: roast beef sandwiches, american fries, baked beans
Snack: chex mix

-Friday-

Happy Friday everyone! We did a few more things with our teeth unit today and each received a toothbrush and toothpaste. We also have been working on matching uppercase and lower case alphabet.

Who would think we could play in the sandbox in February?

Snack: Lexi's birthday treats

We also celebrated Alexis' 2nd birthday today... hard to believe she is already going to be 2. Life sure is never dull with her around, she is always willing to help out:)

We stared our theme on dental health, we took yellow teeth and used toothbrushes to paint them white to clean the teeth. We also learned letter Q today and made quilts as well as practiced writing the letter.

Pajama Day tomorrow:)

Lunch: hamburger rice hotdish, peas, pears
Snack: apple smiles (apple slices with peanut butter and marshmallows)

Wednesday already, the week seems to be going quite quickly! Today, we celebrated Clifford's birthday by reading a few Clifford books and making a Clifford, I will have to take a picture and post tomorrow as everyone's Clifford is way different! Some look like rabbits while others look like dogs:)

You would have thought a super star walked in when they noticed the snow this morning! These poor MN kids are snow deprived:)

--Tuesday--

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We've had a busy morning celebrating Valentine's Day, this morning we worked on patterning with conservation hearts, once they figured out how to make a pattern, they went right to town! We also did a couple different heart activities and made a necklace with heart beads and completed our mom's and dad's Valentine. This afternoon, we will open up our Valentine's and use face paint for a couple hearts on our cheeks, then continue with the rest of our party!

Since it's Valentine's Day... here's a couple pictures of these 2 that just love each other... It's hillarious to watch them interact with each other, Levi is the only one that she lets sit on her and bump her without sreaming!

Pajama Day, we've enjoyed having our school girls here today, I forget how much they love to play with the little kids, poor Levi was their victim this morning!

We made a Valentine snowman today and will finish our Valentine bags this afternoon.

Happy Friday, burrrrr... it's freezing outside today! We stayed in all day.... started to work on our Valentine cards and painted our hands and feet red, so if you notice red you will know where it came from!

We kept busy today completing a few different Valentine projects, made a heart shaped caterpillar, waterpainted and also glittered. They seemed to be interested so we kept doing more! The wind was too chilly to be outside for very long this morning.

We ended up with only a few kids today, so I thought we would go check out the Redwood Falls Library since I've never been their before. While we were there, we found out that they have an exhibit from the Children's Museum right now that features three different books, Spot, The Snowy Day and Peter Rabbit... it was very cool! I told the kids we will have to go back another time so we can play longer!

--Tuesday--

Today, we learned the letter P, and painted paper plates pink to make our pigs and also used pens to write the letter P, we painted Valentine sun catchers today and did a few flannel board stories. They have been busy playing in the moon sand... the wind is kinda chilly outside today!

Don't hog all the hugs, there are plenty for everyone!

Here's a couple cute pictures from yesterday... so we bought this walker for Brooklyn over the weekend, but of course she's too short to make it go so she really doesn't like it, so yesterday I had folded it down and set it in the living room... in the afternoon, look who I found sitting in it:) I thought it was too funny!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Today, we made Valentine monsters:) We also did a few flannel board stories. The bus got brought in from outside! Another beautiful day we enjoyed outside and hope to get back out this afternoon.

Happy Friday! What a great day for pajama day today, it was kinda a dreary morning. We worked on our new Brown Bear, Brown Bear book that we are making. Hopefully we can get it finished up next week so we can start passing it around so they can each read it to you at home!

They had a blast outside, they figured out the metal slide was a little icy from last night and with snowpants on, you go zipping right down! I lost count with how many times they each went up and down!

Pinkalicious day today... so much fun, we painted our nails pink and put pink in our hair, made pink cupcakes and frosted them pink with a cherry on top! I sure hope they don't turn pink after nap:)

Happy Wednesday! We learned the letter O today, we also practiced writing our names, then we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful nice weather!

We are having our Pinkalicious Party tomorrow, hopefully we don't turn pink like Pinkalicious:)
