Days like today, I'm so glad I don't have to be out in this wind and cold! We made the best of our day today, got a few more pages done for our Christmas gift, made Christmas trees, water painted. We made it outside for a few minutes this morning, long enough for them to run around and back in we went!
Breakfast: banana bread, oranges
Lunch: pork roast, twice baked potatoes, corn, dinner roll
Snack: PB&J

Puppies....
It started out with this note that was taped to my desk from Wednesday afternoon:
So, after school we played puppies! Oh how they thought it was so funny! So they all drank water from bowls, even Peyton participated :) Then we had to have puppy treats (cereal) when they could do a trick!
Finally Friday!
Today they were all busy with building Lego towers on our new Lego table! (I tried to build a house and got vetoed!) We had patterned towers and single color towers and just regular multi colored towers. Even Alexis figured out how to crawl into the drawer to get closer to the Lego table :)
We also did feather painting this morning.... There pictures turned out great! We also glittered a turkey and played play dough afterwards (play dough is a great way to clean up the glitter!) They were busy baking and creating pumpkin pies! Yummy!
Breakfast: donuts, apples
Lunch: chicken fries, ff, peas
Snack: special k bars
*** Reminder: Nicci will be closed next Thursday & Friday for Thanksgiving! ***
Have a great weekend!

The Man That Brings Us New Toys...
I made the mistake of telling the kids today that the UPS man should be stopping today with our new Lego table, they said, "You mean, the man that brings us new toys!" Yip! I guess they have it figured out! We've seen quite a bit of him lately since I ordered the rest of my grant items. I'm sure we will see him a few more times yet next week!
We accomplished quite a bit today without Kaylin here! Last night, I spent a couple hours in the playroom... re-organizing & putting things away, it always amazes me how much more "fun" the toys seem when we don't have everything out. We also made a pair of jeans today for letter J and water painted Thanksgiving pictures. We tried to work on counting/sorting with our estimation jar. I asked them to guess how many animals were in the jar, and I heard everything from B to 2 to 100! We will have to work on those skills a little more.
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: pizza boats, green beans, oranges, grapes
Snack: string cheese & crackers
They've all been into babies lately... can't have anything to do with our new baby can it?!?!?

Wacky Wednesday!
Sorry this is a little late, we had a busy afternoon :) Our morning zoomed right on by today.... we kept busy making a turkey and indian corn with buttons. The little ones love to glue things on, so the button activity was perfect for them! We also worked on counting and matching the numbers to the correct amount of dots as well as our colors.
Breakfast: french toast sticks, banana
Lunch: tuna hotdish, peas, oranges, bread
Snack: puppy chow
Here's some pictures from today! They love to play in the barn :) We have the two "hooked" together so they can crawl thru the windows from one to the other!

Letter J
Today, we started learning the letter J... Thanks Aylah & Peyton for filling up the letter Jar! We made J's filled with jewels and also made adorable turkeys out of our hands and feet. We learned the J song as well as reviewed the numbers/shapes.
Since it was Mike's birthday today, we had cake & ice cream after lunch! He wasn't too thrilled that we had to sing! Aylah told him that he was 38!
Breakfast: banana bread, grapes
Lunch: spaghetti hotdish, banana, grapes
Snack: yogurt, rice cakes

Monday :)
The kids had a blast pretending they were animals in our new playhouse while we were outside this morning! They were everything from cows to horses to pigs!
We made a scarecrow book with colors today. They must have missed each other over the weekend because they played so nicely this morning... they had to "fix" the bus and played house for most of the morning!
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: ham, mashed potatoes, bread, peas
Snack: grapes & graham crackers
