Happy Friday!

There was 4 on the Slide, and the little one said...

The Snowy Day!

Nicci's Eskimos.. and yes, they all picked the color they wanted!

We practiced cutting this morning... while I was getting the stuff ready for our next project, I looked and A was cutting L's paper because "he couldn't do it".. I said, no, I know he can, and I want to see him cut his own paper as that's how we learn is by practicing, so we got out a new paper and he was so excited that he really could cut on his own! It was awesome watching the look on his face as he had one line cut, "Nicci I did it! "

We had to play the snowflake game a few times, we hide the snowflakes all around and then we need to find them and count to see how many we have left to find!

A few new winter pieces on the flannel board for them to play with.... I hope to get a few more done this weekend

We tried something new after lunch, we picked up and then did a few table type activities on the floor while Allie had her bottle before stories... it worked out great! I think we will do that more often.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thursday!

I'm starting to have high hopes that we will get back outside again SOMEDAY! The sun looks so nice today, but the wind is AWFUL! Oh well, we still made the best of our day and had a great morning!

So I decide that we will make an area for the toddlers... this way, they will stay busy and stay out of everyone's idea of play! LOL.... they all thought they should play there!

Just a jumpin'!

Time to bring the slide in!

Oops! These are upside down! But, a little different twist to using dobbers... great fine motor skills with the stickers

Here's what the kids have to sign their name on every day so we can see who is here! and it's great practice on writing our names without realizing that's what we are doing!

Our story for today!

we worked on sequencing what happened in the story

Wednesday

We had to blow the igloo tent back up today... they were playing in the tent, on the balance beam which they had in a triangle shape that was someone's house and they were also busy hunting animals this morning. I gotta find the tote with all the rest of my beanie babies so they can really hunt!

Grandma was out to read stories and hopefully this afternoon we can get outside... the sun sure looks so nice and warm!

We did spend quite a long time checking out all the zoo cam's from the San Diego Zoo... it's pretty cool, they have live feed on the polar bear, panda bear, elephants, apes and koalas right now. The ape had a baby that she was carrying around with her- it was super cute! The polar bear was eating his lunch of what looked like carrots when we checked in and I asked the kids if they would ever want to be the zoo keeper and check on the bears, and they all said NO! http://www.sandiegozoo.org/videos/

Mouse's First Snow flannel board story

We sang this song a couple times today, they each got a snowflake and it's (sung to Jingle Bells); Snow is falling. Snow if falling. Some fell on my nose! Snow is falling, snow is falling, some fell on my toes! Snow is falling, snow is falling, some fell in my eye! Snow is falling, snow is falling, falling from they sky.

then we pained popscicle stick snowflakes and added a little glitter and hung them up

a few new things arrived at lunch time... we will have to play these after nap

and the balance beam which has been all sorts of stuff

time to wear out our energy!

I'll just sit and watch them jump!

B: waffles, oranges; Allie- pears
L: tuna noddle hotdish, peas, peaches; Allie- carrots

Friday!

Yesterday, we brought the snow in to us since it was too cold to go out and play in it. First, we used liquid water color and then added shaving cream at the end which equaled a yucky mess!

Here's a few doll projects the school girls have done the past few days and today.

Thursday...

I attempted to take a picture of everyone in the bouncy house... well, not a good idea! All the kids were too heavy and we started to deflate it:) Oops!

We finished our ice skating snowmen this morning and the girls were playing blocks and building roads, they all took their turns in the bouncy house and now it's nap time! The big girls are working on a few doll projects this afternoon
