Monday and another SNOW DAY!

It's Monday and we have yet another snow day! And it's too cold to go outside so we made the best of it! And it's Ella's first day of daycare, so the kids were over joyed to have her here.... I think a little too excited!

Allie sure doesn't look like the baby anymore!

With having a picture of the 2 littlest ones, the other 3 wanted to join in and lay down too!

Thursday/Friday

Sorry about no blog post yesterday! Our internet was down all afternoon... so I guess I got a few other things done instead!

Today, we enjoyed a trip to the Y! And then through the car wash... you can tell that the car wash isn't a place that most kids go to! We had some pretty big eyes:)

 Our tea party from yesterday

everyone wanted to read the new book the bookmoibile gals brought

Fun at the Y this morning

Wednesday

Yet, another early out for the school kids! This morning, we read about The Mitten and then we got our mittens and checked to see how many blocks would fit inside and then we used Nicci's wool mitten like in the story and decided that we could fit a lot of blocks and that it was stretchy just like in the story.

Tuesday...

The big books were the hit this morning.

Took the rice out of the table and added ice and water with our polar animals

 Time to jump this morning!

No Two Are Alike!

Oops... it's upside down! But, we made a snowman in a bag and watched to see what was going to happen to it. Most of them though the snowman would fly away when I asked them what was going to happen to it. I think they were surprised to see the water in the bottom of the bag with the snowman pieces floating!

Here's a little treat that went home on Friday... all the parts of a snowman

I froze a whole bunch of different molds of ice for the kiddos, I have 3 bags in the freezer just waiting for a little nicer day outside that today! But, we played with a few of them while we were out today. They have been using them to "cook" for the "fiesta"!

Ten on the Sled... Monday!

Ten on the Sled is such a cute rhyming book!
We read it a couple times today and then they each got to take out an animal off the sled when we got to that animal. I found the sled and animal (easter egg) idea  at Reading Confetti

We started on a class book, but we need to add our pictures to them and finish a few other things, but the idea came from Sarah's First Grade Snippets

Dancing with ribbons... was funny to see them dance to different rhythm of music... fast or slow and how they would move the ribbons and their bodies!
