Monday...

We have a walker and a crawler in the house! They both perfected it over the weekend:)

I made them an optical course outside, it wasn't long enough for the big kids!

Our projects from today:

The big kids had to write about pets, I told them it could be anything, some wrote about what they knew about pets, others wrote about pets they wanted or already had. 

The littler ones matched up bones in the correct size, small, medium, large 

Up, Up and Away on a Hot Summer Day! They could not figure out what I needed their picture for last week holding onto a chair! Little did they know we were going to cut them out and turn it into a hot air balloon!

I finally got my parent resource board completed!

Friday!

It's finally Friday! We brought the rain gutters inside today... they had a blast racing the cars down them, I think I will have Mike cut one in 1/2 and then maybe leave a few long.... 

We did enjoy our time outside this morning, it felt so much nicer to be outside!

Thursday....

I think this hot weather is getting to all the kids and me too! We did enjoy some play time and some fun water time outside this morning... Hopefully tomorrow, we can do some pet shop activities as we've been slacking on them this week! Oh well, it's summertime!

We went to the park this morning for United Way's Wild About Reading... it was a fun time!

Pet Shop

On Friday, we set up out pet shop/vet center... and took pretty much all the other toys out of the toy room.

It was too windy out today to be out for very long especially when the trucks were driving back and fourth on the gravel, it made for a very dusty time outside! But, we finished up our monster theme today, I had a lot more planned that we could have done, but decided we would just play today!

We are going to make monster cookies for snack today though and after that, the big kids are going to help me set up a pet shop/vet center for next week.

Wednesday

While reading in the book, Where the Wild Things Are, the forest grew and grew and grew... Here's is our forest vines!

We made monster slime this morning, it's almost like flubber but a little bit more watery

At lunch, one of the preschoolers wanted to know why the M was crooked?!

Where the Wild Things Are!

We began our little weekly theme, Where The Wild Things Are yesterday, but, unfortunately our internet was down yesterday so I couldn't blog about it!

They had a blast playing in the water yesterday and today:

New favorite flannel board story- about gummy worms! It goes... to the tune of Six Little Ducks,
Down at the candy store,
What did I see?
Eight little gummy worms
looking at me.
Along came (child's name)
with a quarter to pay

and he/she took it away.
