Friday!

I'm hoping next week will be a great, regular week! Who would think we would actually get all this SNOW! Although, the kids have been enjoying playing in it! It does make it hard to talk about umbrellas and rain when we are getting snow... oh well, I guess that's what we get for living in MN!


Playing time:

EVERYONE wanted to mow today! One of those things that may have to disappear! 

Everyone loves to read books, especially when Nicci puts out new books! 

Coloring with smelly markers is always fun! We also finished up our All About Me questioners for next week...

Next week is Week of The Young Child, I have papers for you to fill out on why your child is special, I meant to have them handed out earlier, but with the storm! So, anyway, whenever, you get them filled out, you may return them!

Books

... I took all the Dora, Barbie, etc... books off the book shelf today and will be donating them to the thrift shop! I just got done listening to the Child Care Bar & Grill podcast by Jeff Johnson, Denita Dinger and Lisa Murphy... it was a great reminder on books! Do we just buy books because we can or do we buy quality books that get read over and over again. Sad to say, I don't like reading these commercialized books and we don't read them very often! So, bye bye books! I think we still have a great collection of wonderful books that get read and will be read over and over again!

April 10th

We played musical shapes, when the music stops, then have to stop on a shape and then tell me what shape they are on! We were working on shapes today!

Who knew it would be this snowy in April?! I wish these pictures would post in order, but it doesn't look like they did!

We will have our last PJ day tomorrow, I figured with the weather, it would be a good day for it!

We read a story about a mouse with an umbrella and how each of the other animals asked with a please and thank you and the umbrella got a little bigger each time until the ant just budged in and the umbrella popped.

We decided with the cold and windy day that we would stay inside and bring up the workshop and hair salon... so that's just what we did! Those that were not here yesterday, made their ducks.

Thursday...

I keep thinking today is Wednesday... it will make Friday come all that much faster! We made ducks this morning, gave the babies a quick nap and then went out early to play!

Tuesday!

We are LOVIN' being outside! This is wonderful... hoping that Mike digs out the semi trailer with all the toys soon, so then it will look more like spring:)
