We've had a busy morning and I can usually tell when I hear more than one "I'm tired" at story time! We completed our parent gifts today, now I just need to do my thing with them! We also made wreaths with kisses and practiced the letter Ll today. I gave them strips of paper and they each created a L.
We did get outside for a few seconds! Yip, it probably took us longer to get ready and get undressed but we made it outside after being cooped up for a few days :)
Breakfast: poppy seed muffin, banana
Lunch: beef roast, mashed potatoes, corn, bread stick
Snack: santa cookies -- see below!
Here's a picture of what I'm going to have the bigger kids help with this afternoon since it's CPT day!

Terrific Tuesday :)
Burr... the air is cold today! Too cold for us to get outside and play! Our morning went by pretty fast, we made a reindeer that most of them each cut out the triangle for the body, their cutting skills are improving! Grandma came and read our books that we each brought this morning.

Marvelous Monday!
Our last full week before Christmas! We made adorable little elves today, it's so funny to see how they are each unique! We worked on reviewing our letters today as well and did some exercises to wear off a little energy since it was too cold to go outside.
Gail, my licensor was here this afternoon. We're good to go for another 2 years! If you received a survey from her, thank you for filling it out! She only had great things to say... so THANK YOU!
Breakfast: waffles, oranges
Lunch: chicken stir fry, applesauce, cheese bread
Snack: chips and cheese

Fantastic Friday :)
The house is smelling like gingerbread today, the kiddos may be full of flour when they go home!
Here's what we mixed together:
1 5 lb. bag of flour
1 carton of salt
3 TBSP ground allspice
3 TBSP ground cinnamon
3 TBSP ground cloves
3 TBSP ground ginger
We were also busy for circle time today, they seemed to want to keep busy, so we did a few things! We made a Santa, a stocking and glittered a light bulb... Then we played playdough and headed outside to enjoy the fresh air before it gets freezing cold this weekend!
Breakfast: donuts, apples
Lunch: chicken strips, tartor rounds, banana
Snack: peanut butter cookies
Have a great weekend! Enjoy being stuck home tomorrow:) I plan to do some baking and get caught up on book work :( Just a reminder that Pajama Day is on Monday!

Library Day!
We headed into the Milroy School for library this morning, the kids had fun looking at the books, picking some out and listening to a few strories from Mrs. Fogelson, the librarian. Afterwards, we were able to go to the gym and play! I think the kids had a fun time, they asked if we could go back again :) So, I think we will plan on next Thursday and maybe we will have to go in January and leave the little ones home with Mike :) Sorry... no pictures today! I did bring my camera but we were too busy to take any!
Breakfast: peanut butter toast, apple
Lunch: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, peas

Wonderful Wednesday :)
We got the wooden blocks out this morning and built all kinds of roads, until the littler ones thought it was going to fun to join in block building or block destruction! LOL! We also worked on letter K a little more, "/k/, /k/, /k/, Katie! Make a big line down! Then go in and then go out and that's a K!" Looking at the calendar, the rest of the month is filling in, so we also did the number 4, they found it amazing that 4 strips of paper, can make a number 4 on a piece of paper! The four song goes, "4 is like a bunny, As it hops around the floor, 4 is like a bunny, Four, four, four!" I'll probably be singing these both in my sleep tonight :)
We enjoyed being outside this morning and they are looking forward to getting out this afternoon, I promised them we would head to the "Big Snow Hill"
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: calzone, green beans, applesauce
Snack: oranges, vanilla wafers
*REMINDER: Tomorrow, weather permitting we plan to go to the library in the morning, so please remember to leave a car seat! Thanks!

It's a Monday!
Today is definitely Monday! We had some tired kids this morning! We decorated a gingerbread man for circle time and colored a picture of an elf. We also did a couple flannel board stories and tried out a new gingerbread game that we needed to count for!
They have been into playing doctor and house this morning!
We also went out for a bit, they sure have a blast pulling sleds around with snow in them!
Breakfast: blueberry pancakes, banana
Lunch: taco salad, oranges
Snack: pretzels and JJ's birthday snack

Snowy Friday :)
It's definitely snowing here today! The kids didn't notice that it was snowing for awhile this morning and once they did, one of them said... Yea, more snow!
This morning we made hand print trees, they did very well at following directions since they could only put so many hand prints on at a time in order for it to look somewhat like a tree.
We went out for a bit this morning, the bigger kids shoveled snow into the sleds and toted them around while the littler ones cried that they wanted to go in, so after a few minutes I gave in and in we went :)
The kids didn't believe me that I had Santa's number this morning, so we called Santa and he answered and the look on their eyes was priceless! (Thanks Dad for being Santa!)
Breakfast: donuts, banana
Lunch: BBQ, ff, oranges
Snack: cookie bars

Thursday!
Our day has zoomed right on by! The kids helped re-arrange the playroom this morning, got out some more Christmas books (so most spent a great deal of their time reading them), our market store arrrived after lunch so they will be ready to all play with it after nap :)
We painted candy canes this morning, putting tape down so they just had to paint the red part. It totally amazed them that they could take the tape off and it was still white under it, it was cute to watch them all peal the tape back and watch those facial expressions!
The bookmobile is supposed to be stopping this afternoon since they didn't make it on Tuesday.
Breakfast: poptarts, oranges
Lunch: chicken & cheese tortillas, lettuce, banana
Snack: cereal, milk
Here's a few pics from this morning:
