Windy Wednesday!

It is freezing outside today! Seriously, I can handle snow in October, but not this wind!

We read the story Owl Babies today and made our own Owl Babies, Percy, Bill & Sarah! It's a cute story about how mommy had to leave but mommy's always come back to us! We also made mummy's. We were able to get outside today, but only for alittle bit.. just enough to get some fresh air!

Breakfast: muffin, grapes
Lunch: calzone, green beans, grapes
Snack: pretzels

It's Monday!

The kids must have all had exciting weekends because nap time today they were all fast asleep in short minutes! We worked on the letter H (made a house out of the letter H and glued hearts to our H) and sang our letter H song, hop, hop, hop /h/, /h/h, /h/. Brianna brought back the letter jar today with letter H things... She had a few I wouldn't have thought of! Thanks Brianna! Also, thanks for the yummy Hershey bars

It was chilly when we were out this morning, then it started to sprinkle a little as well so we decided to come in and do some flannel stories. They were all so attentive today, it was great!

Breakfast: cereal, grapes
Lunch: turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, bread
Snack: cheese & crackers

Pajama Day!

We had pajama day today! I love pajama day, probably as much as the kids do! Today, we made some cute little ghosts with our footprints. We used the scrap box so everyone's ghosts looked different, some were totally covered with things while others just had a little. It was neat to see where their imaginations were going while they were busy creating their masterpiece!

Here's a picture from yesterday!

Breakfast: waffles, grapes
Lunch: chili, oranges, crackers
Snack: rice cakes

Wacky Wednesday!

It's been a wacky Wednesday! We had a picnic for breakfast today.... they are so funny when we do something different, its usually all giggles :-)

Grandma came and read stories this morning. We also re-arranged the playroom.... It just amazes me that when something is moved around how different and "new" it is! Here is the kids all playing so nicely in our "house" that we created:

Breakfast: granola bars, grapes
Lunch: hamburger hotdish, grapes, garlic toast
Snack: Parmesan knots (breadsticks)

The schoolagers had CPT today so they were out at 1:00. They have been busy decorating haunted houses. They are now working on Halloween Menus for their "restaurant". Anyone care for a little ghost milk, pumpkin ribs, flesh fries, frog eye slush? Its nice to see them use their imaginations and work together in such a creative way!

REMINDER: Pajama Day tomorrow :)

Glitterful Tuesday!

The kids may be full of glitter when they go home today, we learned about the letter G, so of course we had to use glitter! We glittered a green G and a pumpkin.

Here is Gavin with the letter G things he brought today:

After lunch we made apple crisp for snack today.. yummmy! We had to try the oatmeal topping and all decided that it was so yummy!

Breakfast: cereal, banana

Monday, Monday!

This week will be an interesting week with MEA at the end and the school kids are out early on Wednesday, so we will need to cram our letter G activites into the next two days! We glued on orange pasta to a pumpkin cut out. It was cute to watch, the older kids placed each one on their pumpkin while the littler kids dumped their bowl full of pasta on the pumpkin and called it good!

We also enjoyed the beautiful morning, the kids helped me put some toys together so we can eventually get them put away for the winter months.

Breakfast: cinnamon toast, banana
Lunch: baked chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, corn, bread
Snack: crackers

Field Trip Friday!

We took advantage of having a smaller group today and enjoyed a trip to the library... We picked out our books first then someone discovered the toys that were hidden in the back, so we spent some time playing with their toys! After the library we headed to Independence Park and then back to the Oasis for lunch and home for stories & naps!

Even the littlest ones love to read books!
