Happy 3rd Birthday Aylah!

Happy 3rd Birthday Aylah! I hope you enjoyed your birthday today! It is so hard for me to believe that she is three already.... She was the only "baby" at daycare for about a year and a half. So was probably spoiled rotten!

Letter F

Today we did the letter F, thanks to Aylah for all her letter F items she had in the letter jar! We glued feathers to our F and also made a fire truck out of circles, rectangles & squares. Grandma is back from her trip to Alaska so she came and read stories and brought us a book from Alaska.  We also celebrated Aylah's 3rd Birthday today, I will have another post about that!

Friday!

Swinging in the hammock!
Another gorgeous day outside! The kids are starting to think that eating lunch outside is starting to become routine! When the chilly fall weather starts again, I may have some disappointed kiddos! This morning, we worked on color recognition at the flannel board and also made some adorable Halloween cats!

Breakfast: donuts, grapes
Lunch: chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries (I told them they were orange fries for Halloween and most ate them!), baked beans
Snack: special k bars

Thursday!

It's a beautiful day outside! We made a circle collage today and sang our circle song, "A circle is like the sun, A circle is like the moon, A circle is like the ball I bounce every afternoon. Boom!

Breakfast: cereal,grapes
Lunch: pizza boats, green beans, grapes
Snack: monster claws (bugels)

We put corn in the sensory table. It's a little hard for the kids to "peel" the kernels off, they have come up with some creative ways to try to get it off! I'm sure once the school kids are back this afternoon it will all be off!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather outside this morning along with some pictures! Gotta love that they are so used to me taking pictures.. they sit there and say cheeeeeessssssssseeeeeee until I say ok... we're done!

We even ate lunch outside and read stories outside after lunch.

Monday, October 4

Considering it's Monday... the kids have been in a great mood! Today, we read the story, "Go Away Big Green Monster", it's one of my many favorite books to read and I think it's the kids' too! After doing it on the flannel board, we made our own "Big Green Monster". The kids just sat and giggled while they were making their monsters... We also enjoyed the windy but beautiful morning. Most of them just ran & ran outside!
Breakfast: cereal, banana
Lunch: ham, potato, frozen peas, biscuits
Snack: crackers

We have halloween costumes in the dress up area. Here is Kendra & Peyton wearing some:

Friday, October 1

It's finally Friday! We made purple/black spiders this morning. Alexis really learned to crawl fast since Wednesday... it will become an adjustment for the kids to realize that it's ok for her to be near them!  Not sure if this is Peyton's way to stop the little mover or what... but I thought it was cute!

The weather is gorgeous today and we took full advantage of that this morning!
Breakfast: dontus, apples
Lunch: chicken & rice, banana, grapes
Snack: pumpkin bars
