Five Little Pumpkins!

Here's my boo crew!
Five Little Pumpkins is our theme for the week! I just love this fingerplay! Especially with little kids, they can pick up on it so easy!

Everyone wanted to see what was new in the sensory tub.... black beans, orange noodles and spiders, bugs, etc..

Here's our shirts for the pumpkin patch, although, we had to cancel our trip due to the rain! Bummer! Hopefully we can reschedule!

Playing playdough using some playdough mats for the 5 Little Pumpkins, you can find them here

Then, we checked out a pumpkin... we talked about the outside, guessed how many lines were on the outside, guessed how many seeds were inside and described the inside of the pumpkin. My favorite answer to the inside of a pumpkin was: uck! No one wanted to guess how many seeds, they would only say, "a lot" and they were right! We rinsed the seeds off and roasted them... yummy! I was actually quite surprised at how many liked them!

How many kids can build with the tools?

Who Took The Pumpkin?  We had everyone's name on a pumpkin on the middle of the floor, then we would say, "Who took the pumpkin from the pumpkin patch?"  "____ (who ever picked the pumpkin with the name on it) took the pumpkin from the pumpkin patch." Child with pumpkin name: "Who me?", Nicci: "Yes, you", Child: "Couldn't be" Nicci: "Then, who". Then, we would repeat over until all of our pumpkins were used.
